Real Madrid will host Cadiz FC in their 34th match of La Liga at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday and head coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Thibaut Courtois will be back in action.

Courtois, one of Madrid’s most important players, tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) before the start of the season and was ruled out for seven to eight months. As he was about to return this year, the Belgian got injured in training once again which delayed his comeback.

However, after a long wait, Courtois will finally start for Los Blancos in a league match as Ancelotti counts on the player.

“Yes, he’s fine. Tomorrow he [Courtois] will play after a long time. It’s good news that he’s back, just like Militao. He can contribute, he’s fine, he’s very excited. We’re delighted that he’s back,” Ancelotti confirmed in a pre-match presser on Friday.

Despite Courtois featuring against Cadiz, Ancelotti confirmed that they have the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich in mind where Andriy Lunin will start.

“The final we have in mind is Wednesday against Bayern, where Lunin will play. Then, we’ll see,” the Italian added.

Ancelotti was asked if he would be making changes in the second leg against Bayern as they conceded two goals at Allianz Arena last week.

“I’m not talking about individuals. The team, in my opinion, was too passive against Bayern. We have to be more aggressive. I told the players as much. Militao will play tomorrow to get some rhythm,” he said.

"You want to ask if Courtois can reach a hypothetical final, right? We only think about the final we have on Wednesday. We don't think about what could happen in a month. Hopefully, we can think about it, it will mean that we have reached the final in London."
