Injury-riddled Real Madrid got a major boost as left-winger Vinicius Junior is set to recover and return a lot earlier than the expected date, reported Spanish news outlet MARCA on Tuesday.

Vinicius got injured during the November international break with Brazil as he suffered an injury to his hamstring and tendon and was reportedly out till February.

However, the latest reports from MARCA confirmed that the 23-year-old is eyeing a return at the Spanish Super Cup, which will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in January.

Vinicius’ good genetics and unbelievable work ethic made sure a speedy recovery as the forward is already training on grass with the ball.

If everything goes according to the plan, MARCA reports that Vinicius will feature against Atletico Madrid on January 10 in the Gulf Country.

Los Blancos got another boost when midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni returned to the pitch against Alaves after a two-month-long absence as he broke his foot during the match against FC Barcelona which The Whites won 2-1 courtesy of a brace from Jude Bellingham.

It is worth mentioning that Los Blancos are having a difficult time dealing with injuries. During the match against Villarreal on December 18, David Alaba became the third player to tear his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and is set to miss eight months of action.

Los Blancos are now left with only two natural centre-backs in the squad, Antonio Rudiger and Nacho Fernandez — who is suspended for the next league match after picking up a red card against Alaves.
