Virat Kohli notched up his eighth century in the Indian Premier League during (Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) encounter against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Saturday.

The 35-year-old also extended his record as the player with the most number of centuries in the IPL.

The RCB batter was in fine form at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur, as his team posted a total of 183 runs after batting first. Once again, it was Kohli who guided the innings, remaining steadfast until the end.

The star batsman finished the innings with 113 runs off 72 balls. He struck 11 boundaries and four sixes during his innings. Kohli reached the 100-run mark in 67 balls.

The century against RR meant that Kohli has now recorded the joint-slowest century in IPL history. He also holds the record for taking the most deliveries to score a century on Indian soil.

“The wicket looks quite different from the outside. It feels like it’s flat, but the ball is holding up in the pitch. One of us (Virat or Faf) had to bat till the end. I knew I couldn’t get over aggressive and had to keep the bowlers guessing,” Kohli told the broadcaster after his knock.

Here is the list of players with the slowest hundreds in the Indian Premier League.
