England’s all-rounder Will Jacks was starstruck by Virat Kohli’s aura during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 while representing Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

Jacks recalled his first interaction with Kohli stating that the moment the 35-year-old entered the team, he was starstruck by the way people were looking at him.

He also revealed the support Kohli has, doesn’t matter where he goes, people support him be it in airports or streets. He then talked about RCB’s fanbase saying they are the best.

"When he [Kohli] first walked in and I first met him, that was surreal. Seeing his aura, how people look at him, the following… even if you see a footballer in public at home, it's not like that. It's eye-opening. Everywhere we go - all the airports, every street - the support is incredible," Jacks said.

"Everyone told me their [RCB] fans were the best but now I've seen how crazy it is… I kind of expected it, but it obviously still takes you by surprise."

Remember, Jacks played eight matches for RCB in IPL 2024 before being called by England for their upcoming T20I series against Pakistan, which begins on May 22 in Leeds.

He scored 230 runs at an astounding strike rate of 175.7, which included a 41-ball hundred against Gujarat Titans.

It is worth mentioning that despite losing Jacks and Reece Topley, RCB went on a six-match win streak and qualified for the IPL playoffs after beating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in one of the best matches of the season.

They managed to restrict CSK to 191/7 in the allocated overs after posting 218/5 while batting first. Yash Dayal’s brilliance in the last over propelled them to victory.
