Newly-wed couple Shoaib Malik and Sana Javed made their first public appearance on Saturday since their marriage.

The duo touched down in Multan ahead of the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 9).

The videos available with Geo News show the former Pakistan skipper and his spouse, an actor by profession, walking side by side as they exited the Multan Airport around midnight.

Shoaib is part of Karachi Kings' PSL 9 bench as the franchise looks forward to its first match against Multan Sultans at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Sunday (tomorrow).

The celebrity couple was seen stepping out of the Multan airport together and climbing inside a van seemingly to reach a hotel where they will be staying during the league's initial leg in Multan.

Both Sana and Shoaib finally made their first public appearance weeks after their marriage announcement in January, leaving fans and followers surprised over their unexpected union.

The couple posted pictures of their wedding on their social media accounts — X and Instagram.

"Alhamdullilah. And We created you in pairs," Shoaib and Sana wrote.

It must be noted that PSL 9 will be held in four cities — Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi — with the final of the event taking place at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on March 18.

Like the previous edition, the PSL 9 will take place in two legs with Multan Cricket Stadium and Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium hosting 14 matches between them from February 17 to 27. The action then moves to Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium and Karachi’s National Bank Stadium, where 16 matches will be held from February 28 to March 12. The event will then move to Karachi in its entirety for the playoffs.

Teams like Kings, Qalandars, Sultans, and United will play five matches at their respective home grounds, while Peshawar Zalmi will play four matches at Pindi Cricket Stadium. Quetta Gladiators, on the other hand, will play three matches each in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, with one match at Multan Cricket Stadium against the home side Sultans on February 25.
