Sunrisers Hyderabad wicketkeeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen has garnered a significant following with his impressive performances in IPL 2024.

However, the excitement among the Orange Army reached new heights when they spotted their star batter strolling around a mall in Hyderabad accompanied by his other teammates.

In a viral video circulated on X (formerly Twitter), Klaasen and Jaydev Unadkat can be observed navigating through the mall while a fervent crowd chants the South African batter's name and clamours to snap selfies with the duo.

A visibly frustrated Klaasen can be seen trying to calm the fans down before finally finding an exit.

Klaasen has been pivotal in Sunrisers Hyderabad's ability to amass imposing totals in successive matches this season. The 32-year-old batter currently stands as SRH's second-highest run-scorer for the season, having accumulated 337 runs in 10 matches at a striking rate of 189.33 and an average of 48.14.

In a recent interaction, SRH paceman T Natrajan was questioned about his experience bowling to Klaasen in the nets, to which the pacer responded, "He is hitting the ball long and far. Too long and too far! It is a learning process for me too. I can understand his strengths and use that information when I come up against him as an opponent,"

It must be noted that SRH occupy the 4th position on the IPL Points Table with 12 points and a net run rate of +0.072.

With four matches left in the league phase, SRH stand a strong chance of securing a spot in the playoffs by winning at least two of their remaining matches. The side, captained by Pat Cummins, is scheduled to play their next match against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on May 6.
