Legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter, Sara Tendulkar, was in attendance during the match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Wankhede Stadium on Friday.

Sara, 26, became the latest addition of celebrities who made their presence known in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 as she cheered for MI, which is mentored by her father Sachin.

High-flying KKR have amassed the scores of 200+ five times in the ongoing tournament but they looked clueless in front of the MI bowling attack as the entire team was sent back to the pavilion for just 169 runs.

Despite not having an excellent tournament, the Hardik Pandya-led unit made a fantastic comeback in the match against two-time IPL winners and were able to get their entire team out for the first time in the ongoing edition.

MI’s bowling attack consisting of Nuwan Thusara, Jasprit Bumrah, Panyda and Piyush Chawla caused all kinds of trouble to their opponents.

Only Venkatesh Iyer (70 off 52), Manish Pandey (42 off 31) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi (13 off 6) managed to score in double digits as all of the remaining batters failed miserably.

Notably, Rohit Sharma wasn’t part of the playing XI and was named in the Impact Substitute list.

Remember, MI are on the verge of facing a group-stage exit as they have just three wins from 10 matches and a loss against KKR on Friday would damage their chances of playing the playoffs.
