Ultimately, Vipers bagged their first win by beating defending champions Giants by six wickets.

Meanwhile, the duo talked about bowling together for the first time since 2020 and how their partnership worked in the first game.

"Our goal was to take a breakthrough early on and contain later on," Shaheen said.

Shaheen stressed on that the learnings from playing with Amir will help him in international cricket.

"I have learned from him a lot. Today we were bowling the same way we used to do in partnerships.

"The dressing room experience will help me a lot in international cricket. Not just me, but any other Desert Vipers player can learn from Amir.

Meanwhile, Amir is thankful for the Vipers to have both of them in the same team.

"After one over, the batters will go hard. Since we have played cricket together in the past, so we have a bit of an idea of our mindset," he said.

"Credit to the Vipers for having us in the same team," he added.

It must be noted that four Pakistan players are part of the Vipers. Alongside Amir and Shaheen, Shadab Khan and Azam Khan are also part of the franchise.
