Pakistan pacer Naseem Shah has been ruled out of action for the past four months after he suffered a shoulder injury during the Asia Cup.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine is almost a month away with the right-armer moving to a new franchise Islamabad United from Quetta Gladiators.

United has issued a fitness update for the 20-year-old, stating that he is bowling regularly in the nets. His recovery is going really well.

Last month, the chief selector of the Pakistan men's cricket team Wahab Riaz gave an update regarding Naseem Shah.

"Naseem Shah will be completely fit till PSL," confirmed Riaz during a media talk. "I have met with Naseem and his rehabilitation program is going very well."

It must be noted that the season nine of the PSL will begin next month with Lahore Qalandars set to defend their title.

The league will be played from February 17 to March 17, 2024, across four cities: Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan.

Karachi will host 11 matches, followed by Lahore and Rawalpindi, each hosting 9 games, and five matches taking place in Multan.
