Former Pakistani captain Sarfaraz Ahmed’s wife Syeda Khushbakht deleted her recent tweet where she talked about people who criticize her husband.
Khushbakht addressed those people who are always saying and writing "hateful things" about her husband and stated that it breaks her heart.
“May my Almighty Allah grant hidayah to all the people who can only say and write hateful things about my husband. Breaks my heart!” she said in a now-deleted tweet.
Sarfaraz was criticized by some fans after he failed to perform in both Tests against Sri Lanka this month.
Even though during the first inning of the last Test, Sarfaraz was hit on his head while he was trying to duck a bouncer, he was then immediately replaced by Mohammad Rizwan as a Concussion Substitute.
The wicketkeeper-batter marked his return in Test cricket after almost four years against New Zealand earlier this year where he scored an astonishing century and gathered applause from all over the cricket world.
Earlier, Sarfaraz was signed by B-Love Kandy for this year’s Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023, sources told GeoSuper.tv.
Sarfaraz, who previously led Galle Gladiators (now Galle Titans), stayed with national teammates in Sri Lanka to participate in the league.
B-Love Kandy is co-owned by Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt. Former Pakistani cricketers including Javed Miandad (mentor) and Mushtaq Ahmed (head coach) are also associated with this franchise.
Sarfaraz will play alongside his national teammates Mohammad Hasnain, Asif Ali, Fakhar Zaman, Aamer Jamal and Mohammad Haris.
