Pakistan cricketer Hasan Ali posted a heartbreaking tweet on his official Twitter account on Saturday.

While responding to a tweet about his dropped catch during the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2021, the pacer said that it is one of the most disappointing moments of his career.

“Even I still remember and will never forget till last breath or even after,” Hasan tweeted with a flurry of crying emojis.

It must be noted that, with Australia requiring 22 runs off the last two overs during the aforementioned match, Wade took a wild swing at Shaheen Afridi’s third ball and sent a skier towards Hasan who spilled the catch on the leg-side.

Wade responded by hitting three sixes in a row to complete an excellent chase for his side and knock Pakistan cricket team out of the event.

“It was a tough moment of my career and it was quite difficult for me to forget. I haven’t revealed this to anyone until now but I didn’t sleep for two days, my wife was with me and he was tense as I was not sleeping,” Hasan said in February last year.

“All I know is that as a professional, I have to move on which I have done, but it will be difficult for me to forget that and whether I like it or not, this tag will remain with me forever. But then this is the strange thing about cricket because in our practice sessions during that tournament, I caught close to 500 catches without dropping any! Of course, there is no guarantee that I will take all my catches in the future, but what I can assure everyone is that I will continue to work hard on all aspects of my game.

“All my teammates are aware of how I approach the games and that I don’t take the matches lightly. I prepare well and I always try to perform for Pakistan. After the match, I was crying and so was Shaheen; it was an extremely sad moment.

“Shoaib [Malik] bhai came to me and told me that you are a tiger and that I shouldn’t fall. In addition to that, I also received a lot of support on social media which helped me ease through the pain.”
