AMERICA: Veteran WWE stars have expressed disappointment over Vince McMahon's retirement as chairman, CEO of professional wrestling.

According to reports, a multiple of WWE stars have raised concerns over this development.

"No names were specifically revealed, but 'multiple top stars' and 'plenty of longtime talent' felt disheartened. One of the Superstars also said that it 'shouldn’t have taken a scandal for a shakeup'," the report claimed.

Amid high-profile inquiry against him in sexual misconduct allegations case, Vince hung up his boots, weeks after stepping down from his post.

Last month, McMahon stepped down from his post following all the buzz about sexual misconduct allegations on him. Moreover, The Wall Street Journal also alleged McMahon of paying more than $12 million to four women formerly associated with WWE over the past 16 years to keep quiet about affairs and alleged misconduct, including a former female wrestler who claims he coerced her into oral sex.

McMahon's daughter Stephanie acted as interim CEO of WWE, but later on, took charge as chairwoman whereas Nick Khan will be taking over as co-CEO.
