LAHORE: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF)'s secretary Asif Bajwa shared that they are in talks for the Pakistan team's Europe tour before Asia Cup Hockey Tournament.

In an interview, Bajwa said they have contacted hockey federations of Holland, Belgium, Spain and France to conduct a fruitful tour for the Pakistan team.

"We are planning Pakistan team's Europe tour. For that, we are in talks with various hockey federations including Holland, Belgium, Spain and France," he said.

"Asia Cup is too important for us as it will be a pathway for World Cup's qualification. We want to prepare strongly for the Asian event," he maintained while adding that initial plans are to send the team to Europe in April.

Asia Cup Hockey Tournament is scheduled to be played in Indonesia from May 23 to June 1.

"After Europe tour, we will organize a training camp here for Asia Cup preparations in May. We will also try to send our team a few days before the Asian event so that they get ample time to adjust in the conditions," he concluded.
