What led to divorce between Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik?

Shoaib Malik announced his marriage to Pakistani actor Sana Javed through his social media accounts on Saturday.

Malik, who is Pakistan’s one of the longest-serving players, tied the knot with the actress in a private ceremony but none of his family members attended the event, according to his brother-in-law Imran Zafar.

Malik was married to Indian tennis star Sania Mirza from 2010, although there had been rumours about problems in their marriage life, however, there were no reports of divorce.

As per the sources, the two got divorced because Sania was not happy with the 41-year-old’s regular interactions with other females.

The former tennis star tried to ignore Malik’s actions for so long, but then finally decided to take the big step of divorce. 

Sources further revealed that Malik’s family was extremely sad over the separation from Sania as they never wanted the two to divorce. They also tried their best to rebuild the relationship between them.

The all-rounder was in contact with Sana for a long time, who was having trouble in her marriage life with renowned singer Umair Jaswal.

The right-arm off-spinner will continue to meet his son Izhan Mirza Malik in Dubai as per the law.

Earlier, Malik confirmed his third marriage on his social media accounts where he wrote a small caption with a Quranic verse.

“Alhamdullilah,” Malik wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “And We created you in pairs,” the post added.

Formerly called the power couple, Shoaib and Sania, remained in the headlines for quite a time since 2022 following the reports of their separation.

On the other hand, Shoaib and Sana were rumoured to have been divorced with both keeping mum on the matter reportedly due to agreements. None of them publically verified their relationship status amid the speculations.
