Karachi Kings will see their second senior player, after skipper Imad Wasim, leave the franchise ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine's draft.

As per local media, Mohammad Amir has decided to part ways with the Kings and his move to Quetta Gladiators has been finalised.

Meanwhile, reports also suggest that Karachi Kings have approached Multan Sultans to negotiate a trade involving batter Shan Masood.

There are strong indications of Masood being appointed as the captain for Karachi Kings in PSL 9. There are also talks about Tayyab Tahir being traded to Multan Sultans as part of the team's strategy to bolster their squad.

Earlier, PSL saw one of the biggest trades in its history as Karachi Kings’ skipper Imad Wasim joined Islamabad United while Hasan Ali joined the 2020 PSL winners.

“Hasan Ali (Diamond category) moves to Karachi Kings. By virtue of this player trade, Karachi Kings have received Islamabad United’s first-round silver pick in exchange for their second-round silver pick,” PCB said in a press release.

Wasim was the player of the tournament of PSL 8 with 404 runs and nine wickets in 10 matches.

It must be noted that the PCB has already revealed the pick order for the Player Draft of the PSL 9.

Quetta Gladiators will make the first pick, meanwhile Karachi Kings and two-time champions Islamabad United will have the second and third picks.

The fourth and fifth picks will be done by Peshawar Zalmi and last season’s runners-up Multan Sultans respectively while winners of the past two editions Lahore Qalandars will finish the first round with the sixth pick.
