KARACHI: All-rounder Imad Wasim is uncertain about obtaining No-Objection Certificate (NOC) to play the forthcoming T10 League in Abu Dhabi, starting on November 28.

According to the sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) hasn’t granted NOC to Imad as the high-ups want all players to participate in the upcoming National T20 Cup.

A reliable source in Islamabad team, one of the 18 participating regions in National T20 Cup, has confirmed to GeoSuper.tv that Imad will not become part of the squad until he gets clarity on NOC for T10 League.

A source from PCB told this correspondent that the clarity on NOC issue will be given once the Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf returns to office. Ashraf went to India to attend an ICC meeting on the sidelines of World Cup 2023 final where Australia emerged as champions for a record sixth time.

Imad is a part of Deccan Gladiators for T10 League. The franchise is also looking towards the PCB for getting green signal on Imad’s availability.

“He hasn’t got the NOC so far. Let’s see what PCB decides,” Gladiators’ spokesperson told GeoSuper.tv

Gladiators will take on New York Strikers in the opening match on November 28.

Pakistan’s experienced all-rounder Shoaib Malik and rookie wicketkeeper Mohammad Haris have already withdrawn from T10 League to play the national tournament.

Both Haris and Malik had a contract with T10 team New York Strikers.
