PFF calls up 34 players for AFC U23 Asian Cup 2024 Qualifiers

KARACHI: The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) have called up a total of 34 players for the upcoming AFC U23 Asian Cup 2024 Qualifiers on Wednesday.

PFF will be organising a training camp in Abbottabad from August 17 to prepare for the event that is set to be played from September 4 to 12 in Bahrain.

Squad

Goalkeepers: Salman ul Haq, Usman Ali, Hasan Ali and Asif Ullah

Defenders: Saeed Khan, Zain ul Abedin, Mohammad Abdullah, Mamoon Musa Khan, Sardar Wali, Abdul Rehman, Abdullah Shah, Mohib Afridi, Mohammad Sufyan, Mohammad Sohail and Syed Junaid Shah

Midfielders: Fahim Ullah. , Tauqeer-ul-Hasan, Mohammad Baseer, Zaid Umar, Mohammad Taha, Alamgir Ghazi, Nizam, Hayan Khattak, Ali Raza and Mazhar Ghaffar

Forwards: Shaiq Dost, Mohammad Waleed Khan, Moin Ahmed, Mohammad Waheed, Farid Ullah, Adeel Younis, Hamza Ahmed, Hamad Hasan and Faraz Mehmood

Pakistan is in Group D with hosts Bahrain, Palestine and Japan.

Saudia Arabia won the last AFC U-23 Asian Cup 2022 after beating Uzbekistan 2-0 in the final while they have also been the runner-ups in 2013 and 2020 where they lost to Iraq and South Korea respectively.
