Fans are over the moon after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the schedule of the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), with Peshawar Zalmi's match against Karachi Kings on 14 February generating a lot of interest. 

The fixture between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings has ignited massive excitement among the fans because Pakistan skipper Babar Azam and former national team pacer Mohammad Amir will be facing each other.

It is worth mentioning here that Babar moved to Peshawar Zalmi and will be captaining the Yellow Storm in the upcoming season of PSL.

The two sides will take on each other at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi on 14 February, which is also Valentine's Day.

Fans took to Twitter and expressed great excitement about the fixture and said they are looking forward to the high-octane encounter between the two great cricketers.

It should be mentioned here that Lahore Qalandars, who were crowned champions of the PSL 7, will lock horns with 2021 champions Multan Sultans in the opening match of the tournament at the Multan Cricket Stadium on February 13 following a vibrant opening ceremony.

Meanwhile, the replacement draft for PSL 8 will take place on January 24.

PCB has also approved the request of franchises to increase pool of players. Now, franchises will pick two players in the supplementary category to complete squad of 20.
