DOHA: Lionel Messi led Argentina from the front as they beat Mexico by 2-0 to keep their round of 16 qualification hopes alive in FIFA World Cup 2022.
Messi's clean strike in the 64th minute gave Argentina a much-needed breakthrough after coming from an upset defeat at the hands of minnows Saudi Arabia.

Argentina will next face Poland meanwhile Mexico, who sit on the last position in group C with only a point, will take on Saudi Arabia in their last group game. Both matches will be held on December 1.
