MANCHESTER: If more travelling supporters are not permitted when Manchester United plays Chelsea later this month, the Manchester United Supporters' Trust has threatened to file a lawsuit.

Due to policing issues, United's allocation was cut to 2,370.

Manchester United Supporters' Trust (MUST) said "fans are being treated like second-class citizens".

"For a Supporters Trust to engage lawyers is always a last resort, but enough is enough," a spokesperson added.

The Reds' fans demand a fresh safety certificate to be issued by Hammersmith and Fulham Council to permit the entire allotment of 2,994 travelling supporters.

The match will be played on October 22 as the Premier League announced last week.

Due to Chelsea's Champions League match the following Tuesday, the match, which was originally scheduled for Sunday, October 23, was changed to Saturday.
