KARACHI: Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) announced the signing of midfielder Renato Sanches from Lille.

The Portuguese midfielder has signed a five-year deal with the French powerhouses for an estimated 15 million euros.

"I'm sure that I've made the right choice by signing for the club," Sanches told the PSG website.

Sanches, who first gained recognition with Benfica as a young player, joined Bayern Munich in 2016 for 35 million euros.

Sanches was loaned to Swansea City after making 53 appearances for the Bavarian team, but after failing to impress there, he moved to Lille and found his form there.

He will play with Vitinha, Marco Verratti, and Danilo Pereira in the French midfield after PSG defeated AC Milan to sign him.

Sanches and Christophe Galtier previously collaborated in Lille, and this will be their second time working together.

The Portuguese midfielder selected PSG over the Italian team in large part due to the French coach and Luis Campos.
