MANCHESTER: Manchester United completed the signing of Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen on a free transfer.

The player has agreed to a three-year deal with Old Trafford after playing for Ajax, Tottenham, Inter Milan, and Brentford in the past.

"I still have major ambitions in the game. There is a huge amount that I know I can achieve, and this is the perfect place to continue my journey," Eriksen said.

"Manchester United is a special club, and I cannot wait to get started."

After his brief contract at Brentford expired in June, Eriksen made an agreement in principle to join United earlier in July.

Following the arrival of Netherlands full-back Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord, he is United's second acquisition under new manager Erik ten Hag.
