KARACHI: Police will take no action against Patrick Vieira after the Crystal Palace manager was involved in an incident with a supporter during Thursday's defeat against Everton, BBC Sports reported.

After Everton's 3-2 comeback victory, fans flooded the pitch.

After being taunted by an Everton fam, Vieira seemed to kick the supporter during the pitch invasion.

"Officers have spoken to both men involved, and the opportunity to make a formal complaint or support a prosecution was declined," said police.

During their investigation, Merseyside Police claimed they cooperated with Everton "to obtain all available CCTV evidence and speak to witnesses."

The brawl was one of numerous that occurred over the previous week as supporters flocked to the field to celebrate their team's accomplishments.

Following their play-off semi-final clash last Tuesday, Nottingham Forest fan Robert Biggs was sentenced to 24 weeks in prison for headbutting Sheffield United star Billy Sharp
