LIVERPOOL: Everton manager Frank Lampard has broken his hand while celebrating Everton's 99th-minute winner over Newcastle at the Goodison Park.

The former Chelsea midfielder has no regrets over breaking his hand, but he admitted that he would suffer one every week if it meant similar results.

After teammate Allan was sent off on 83rd minute in a game prolonged by a second-half protest, Alex Iwobi scored crucial three points for his team by scoring the match-winning goal in the 99th minute.

"I did it in celebration for the goal," Lampard said, according to BBC Sports.

"I just connected with something. I didn't punch anything, but I realised two minutes later my hand was shaking and aching. I will take it for the three points," he added.

The win against Newcastle took Everton three points above the relegation zone.
