Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp said that the convincing Merseyside Derby victory over Everton on Wednesday is the "best performance" his side has delivered at Goodison Park.

"It was, for sure, the best performance we've shown since I've been at Liverpool at Goodison," Klopp said according to Sky Sports.

Klopp said Liverpool were very calm and convincing in their 4-1 win over Everton.

"We've had some good games here but not as good as tonight; never as calm as we were tonight, we were never as convincing as we were tonight. That is why we won the game, I'm really happy about that."

Klopp said that throughout the years since his arrival, Liverpool have been learning and Wednesday night they have shown the brutal force they have become.

"Since I have been at Liverpool, we have had to learn how to play these kinds of games. We had to learn to play at Old Trafford, learn to play at Goodison, and tonight we showed we've taken a big step in our development, and that is really good," he added.

Salah was again exceptional for Liverpool and scored two stunning goals. Henderson scored a left-footed screamer from the edge of the box while Diogo Jota also scored a goal.
