KARACHI: Karachi Kings' captain, Shan Masood is excited for the upcoming matches at their home ground in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine.

While talking to media during the practice session, the left-handed batter shed light on different aspects of the 2020 PSL champions

Despite all players making some contributions, Shan expressed dissatisfaction with the individual performances of the team.

"All the players of the team have given some performance but I am not satisfied with my personal performance.

"I am not getting a good start, and that's why I have not been able to advance in batting, I have not been able to perform well in the matches despite being set at the wicket when my performance would come, it will be more beneficial for the team," he added.

The 34-year-old specifically pointed to the significance of players like Kieron Pollard, stating that a remarkable performance from such individuals substantially boost the overall team performance.

"The team has not given performance collectively too as we witnessed standout individual efforts in the matches we won.

"We need performance the way Pollard has given. In the matches to be held in Karachi, we will prepare the action plan in the meeting against the rival teams," he added.

He also shared expectations from all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz and recognised Arafat Moin as a valuable player.

"Nawaz's performance has not been according to his abilities, we are expecting more from him as an all-rounder, Arafat Minhas is a good player and we will select him wherever he is needed," he maintained.

It must be noted that Karachi have won two games out of three played. They are fourth on the points table with four points.

They will lock horns against Islamabad United tomorrow while they play again on Thursday against Quetta Gladiators.
