Cricket Australia introduced the ‘Pakistan Bay’ on Monday ahead of the first Test in Perth in order to enhance fans’ experience.

The first Test of the Benaud Qadir Trophy is set to take place at the Perth Stadium from December 14.

“Since the arrival of the Pakistan cricket team in Australia, there has been a surge in the sale of the West Test tickets, with over 18,000 tickets already sold for the much-anticipated clash,” Cricket Australia said in a press release.

“Perth Stadium has designated two zones surrounding the Pakistan dressing room exclusively as the ‘Pakistan Bay’, providing a focal point for Pakistan fans to unite and fervently support their team.

“In a commendable move towards inclusivity, the Pakistan Bay has been declared an alcohol-free zone, fostering a family-friendly environment. Tea, Halal, and Desi food options will be available, further enriching the communal spirit within the Pakistan Bay.

Pakistani cricketers Hasan Ali and Saim Ayub also urged fans to participate in a walk organised by Cricket Australia on the first day of the match. The walk will start from the famous Sailani Avenue, guiding participants to the Perth Stadium.

For those looking to purchase tickets to the Pakistan Bay, a unique opportunity awaits with specially priced tickets lower than the standard AUD 30 West Test ticket. Additionally, children under the age of four can enter the stadium for free, while tickets for children aged four to fifteen starts at AUD 10.

It must be noted that the Perth Test has been named as ‘The West Test’ since it will include an exciting new in-stadium experience for fans which will be inspired by the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) ‘The West Test Hill’.

The Hill features three tiers and will house up to 500 patrons at a time.

The West Test Hill will include a family area with games for children and ample shaded seating spaces for fans to relax and enjoy the first Test match of the summer.
