PSL 8: Babar becomes highest run-scorer

Peshawar Zalmi's skipper Babar Azam has become the highest run-scorer in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 during second Eliminator against Lahore Qalandars today at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. 

Babar took 37th run to surpass Multan Sultans' skipper Mohammad Rizwan to become highest run-scorer in this year's tournament. 

The right-handed batter was dismissed by Rashid Khan after he scored 42 off 36 balls. He has now 522 runs in 11 matches so far. 

For the second time in PSL, Babar has scored 500+ runs. Earlier in PSL 6, the right-handed batter scored 554 runs. Rizwan is the only batter in PSL to score 500+ runs in three editions. 

When this story was filed, Peshawar had scored 113-3 in 13.2 overs

Babar and Mohammad Haris supported Peshawar after they lost Saim Ayub (9) earlier. They both scored 89 runs together to help Peshawar recover from 15-1 to 104-1 in 11.2 overs. 

Rashid provided much-needed breakthrough to Lahore in 12 over. He bagged back-to-back wickets of Babar and Tom Kohler-Cadmore to help his team make an impressive comeback.
