Shaheen Afridi speaks to his players before second Eliminator - Lahore Qalandars

Lahore Qalandars' skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi told his players to fight till the last ball as they took Peshawar Zalmi in Eliminator 2 of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 today at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Zalmi's skipper won the toss and decided to bat first in a crucial match against Qalandars. The winners tonight will play against Multan Sultans in PSL 8 final on Saturday [March 18].

Before the important contest, Afridi had a meeting with his players in which he motivated them.

In a video shared by Qalandars on Twitter, Afridi can be heard telling his players to fight till the end.

"Whatever the results come, we don't need to blame each other. We have to fight and we will fight till the last ball," he said. "We will win as a team and lose as a team. Remember one thing, we all are best that's why we are playing here," he added.

Qalandars lost to Sultans in the qualifier on March 15. They are currently playing against Zalmi in the second Eliminator today. The defending champions will eye another final spot and winning the last contest to become first-ever to defend PSL title.

When this story was filed, Zalmi had scored 38-1 in 3.4 overs. Babar and Mohammad Haris were batting for 14 runs each. Saim Ayub lost his wicket after scoring nine runs.
