Portland Trail Blazers' Damian Lillard scored 42 points for the second straight game as his side defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 122-112.

Lillard now has 49 games with 40 or more points in his career. He also had 10 assists and eight rebounds.

On the list of NBA players with the most 40-point games, he is tied for 19th with Shaquille O'Neal.

In another game, the Brooklyn Nets lost to the Boston Celtics despite still playing without injured star Kevin Durant.

The Celtics defeated their Eastern Conference rivals 139-96 thanks to Jayson Tatum's 31 points and Jaylen Brown's 26 points. They scored 46 points in the first quarter alone to maintain their lead in the standings.

The Nets, who have now lost their last 10 games versus Boston, were led by Kyrie Irving's 20 points, four rebounds, and four assists.

The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Florida team 105-94 on Wednesday to avenge their shocking loss to the Orlando Magic on Monday.

The Sixers had won seven straight games coming into the matchup on Monday, but they lost 119-109 after letting a 21-point lead slip.

However, James Harden added 26 points, including six three-pointers, and Joel Embiid added 28 points. James Harden also had nine rebounds and 10 assists.

The Detroit Pistons' home game against the Washington Wizards was postponed because the Pistons were stuck in Dallas due to an ice storm. The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Golden State Warriors 119-114 in overtime.
