Stephen Curry was in tears after teammate Draymond Green was ejected just minutes into the Golden State Warriors' match against the Orlando Magic on Sunday.

Less than four minutes into the match, Green lost his composure when Warriors swingman Andrew Wiggins was penalised for a foul on Magic forward Paolo Banchero.

Green was issued consecutive technical fouls for shouting at referee Ray Acosta. Consequently, he was promptly ejected from the game with the score level at six points apiece.

Following Green's premature departure, the Warriors' franchise player appeared disheartened, clutching his jersey over his face. Prior to being ejected, Curry stood beside Green, displaying concern as his teammate argued with the official.

The ejection on Sunday occurred subsequent to Green narrowly escaping punishment for grabbing Heat guard Patty Mills by the neck during the Warriors' 113-92 victory in Miami on Saturday.

Green's departure was a setback for Golden State, who were already missing Jonathan Kuminga due to left knee soreness. Nonetheless, this didn't hinder Curry and the Dubs from securing a 101-93 victory against the Magic.

Wiggins led Golden State in scoring with 23 points, while Curry achieved a double-double with 17 points and 10 assists. Klay Thompson also contributed 15 points to the triumph.

Green has faced disciplinary measures earlier this season, having missed 12 games after striking Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the face on December 12. In November, the veteran forward was suspended for five games after an altercation with Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert.

The four-time champion admitted to contemplating retirement during his extended suspension but pledged to better himself upon returning to the court.

With ten regular season games remaining, the Warriors currently occupy tenth place in the Western Conference with a 38-34 record. Golden State is holding onto the final play-in position and will confront the Lakers for a playoff opportunity if the standings remain unchanged.

The Warriors have two more fixtures on their road trip - in Charlotte and San Antonio - before hosting the Dallas Mavericks at home on April 2.
