With the 2024 NBA season coming to its end, three matches were played on Saturday altered the Power Rankings as the race to the playoffs continues to heat up.
The standings change with every game played, giving the already tense rankings a different dimension as fans keep on looking for their favourite franchise's chances of making it to the playoffs which will start on April 20.
Stars like LeBron James, Nikola Jokic and Stephen Curry are giving their all to make sure their side finishes on top of the rankings, which would provide fans much to wait for when the playoffs finally begin.
From the Eastern Conference, only one match was played on Saturday night between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Boston Celtics where the latter emerged victorious with a decisive 92-104 scoreline.
Jayson Tatum scored 23 points, the most, for the winning side to help the Celtics strengthen their position at the summit in the Eastern Conference.
In the Western Conference, the Atlanta Hawks took on the Milwaukee Bucks while the Orlando Magic hosted the Memphis Grizzlies. In the first match, the Hawks lost to the Bucks with a scoreline of 113-122 as Giannis Antetokounmpo starred for the winning side, scoring 36 points.
In the second encounter, the Magic comfortably defeated the Grizzlies as an all-round performance by Cole Anthony, Jalen Suggs and Wendell Carter Jr (15 points each) and Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner (13 points each) guided them to the win.
Remember, the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs will begin on April 20 and the conference semi-finals will take place on May 6 and 7 but can move up to May 4 or 5 if the prior rounds are finished earlier.
