PCB turns down Hasnain's NOC request for Lanka Premier League

Eight Pakistan players will feature in LPL season 3

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) turned down Mohammad Hasnain's request to get No-Objection Certificate (NOC) for Lanka Premier League (LPL). 

Hasnain, who represented Deccan Gladiators in Abu Dhabi T10 League, was picked up by Galle Gladiators for the third edition of the LPL that got underway here today [Tuesday]. 

A franchise representative confirmed GeoSuper.tv that Hasnain will not be available for this season as PCB wanted the youngster to participate in Pakistan Cup, scheduled from December 10 to January 3 in Karachi. 

Left-arm pacer Wahab Riaz replaced Hasnain in the Gladiators' squad who played against Jaffna Kings in the tournament's opener. 

When this story was filed, the Gladiators' looked under control while chasing 138 runs to win. Gladiators' bowlers bowled out Kings for 137 runs. 

It is pertinent to mention here that eight Pakistan players will feature in LPL season 3. Asad Shafiq, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Wahab Riaz, and Anwar Ali will represent the Gladiators.

Shoaib Malik will play for Kings while Haider Ali and Ahmed Daniyal will feature from Dambulla Aura.

Hambantota, Candy, and Colombo will host the much-anticipated league in the Island country.

The final of the competition will be played in Colombo on December 23.
