Sarfaraz Ahmed gets permission to participate in KPL 2: Reports

KARACHI: Former Pakistani captain Sarfaraz Ahmed got the permission of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to participate in Kashmir Premier League (KPL) season 2. 

According to reports, Sarfaraz, who is a PCB centrally contracted player, will play in KPL 2 with special permission. 

The wicket-keeper batter was picked up by Kotli Lions in the players' draft in Islamabad. He was roped in the platinum category. 

Sarfaraz has got a central contract in the 'D' category of the red-ball format contracts. Earlier, PCB only gave permission to seven of its centrally contracted players to be drafted for KPL 2. 

The list of permitted players included Fawad Alam (Red Ball Category B), Azhar Ali (Red Ball Category A), Abid Ali (Red Ball Category D), Nauman Ali (Red Ball Category C), Haseebullah, Mohammad Hurraira, Ali Usman (all three Emerging Category).
