KARACHI: Governor Sindh, Imran Ismail awarded a cash prize to IBSF World Snooker Champion Ahsan Ramzan on Saturday.
Ahsan, who became the youngest Pakistani world snooker champion earlier this month, was invited as a special guest on the occasion of Karachi Squash Open Championship's final here on Saturday.
During the closing ceremony, Ahsan's achievement was acknowledged by Governor Sindh, former Squash world champion Jehangir Khan and other dignitaries.
Ismail presented a cash prize of PKR 200,000 to Ahsan for becoming world champion. Meanwhile, the Administrator of DHA - Brig Asim assured to take responsibility for Ahsan's education and well-being.
It must be noted here that Ahsan defeated Iran's Amir Sarkosh in a nerve-testing final to become IBSF World Snooker Champion.
