Pakistan squash star Danish Atlas Khan received the prestigious Tamgha-e-Imtiaz from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Ghulam Ali the other day in Peshawar.
The Peshawar-born, Danish, is a former Pakistan no 1 squash player, who started playing at the age of six.
He served Pakistan squash and kept Pakistan flag flying internationally for 20 years. He represented Pakistan in 20 countries including USA, England, Canada, Switzerland, France and China.
He has won 35 gold medals, 20 silver medals and 16 bronze medals over the course of his illustrious career.
Danish Atlas Khan is a five-time Asian Squash Champion and Asian Games gold medalist in team event in China 2010. He is the youngest ever Asian Games gold medalist athlete at the age of 16.
He also won the silver medal in British Junior Open 2009 and is a former rank no 1 junior squash player in Asia. He also won bronze medal in World Junior squash championship and was world rank no 3 in World junior in 2012.
