Gamers8 Tekken 7 Nations Cup: Pakistan secures top three finish

They will face Korea in the upper bracket final tomorrow

Pakistan’s Tekken players defeated the UK 2-1 in Gamers8 Tekken 7 Nations Cup on Saturday.

Pakistan's team consisting of three players — Arslan, Atif Butt and Khan Imran — defeated UK in the semi-final to secure a top three finish. 

Despite Arslan losing the middle encounter, Butt won the boss match to seal the deal for Pakistan.

Pakistan will face Korea in the upper-bracket final tomorrow.

Earlier on Friday (July 7), Arslan Ash led Pakistan to a 3-1 victory against Japan in their group match after winning the boss match.

Pakistan — who defeated South Africa in their opening match on Thursday (July 6) — defeated Japan and Saudia Arabia yesterday which meant that they registered three wins in a row.

Pakistan also ended their group-stage matches by topping the group.

Arslan is known as one of the best Tekken players in the world, who has won three EVO titles winner in Tekken 7.

He won the EVO Japan 2019 Championship and Evo Championship Series 2019, becoming the only player to have won both at that time.

He was also awarded the best E-Player of 2019 by EPSN. Arslan is also a CEO 2021 Champion and the 2022 Combo Breaker Tekken 7 tournament winner, where he grabbed the title after defeating all of his 10 opponents.

Atif is the current Tekken World Tour Finals champion after winning the title in 2022 while remaining undefeated in the tournament. Meanwhile, Khan was the runner-up at Evo 2022.
