Mohammad Wasim, the former chief selector of Pakistan men's team, said that national players prefer personal milestones over team.

In an interview on YouTube, Wasim said he has often seen players going behind personal milestones.

"From 40 to 50 and 90 to 100, our players prefer personal milestones over team. They take singles and doubles to reach personal milestones which cost team," he shared.

"In a single ODI series, five centuries were scored but our team was whitewashed. During the last five years, we have seen such things. We need to address such issues," he added.

During the fifth and series-deciding T20I against New Zealand earlier this week, Mohammad Rizwan, in an attempt to reach his second T20I hundred, did not go all out during the last few overs. In the last three overs, Pakistan could only score 28 runs.

Due to this slow approach, Rizwan suffered massive criticism on social media.

Mark Chapman played a match-saving knock against Pakistan in the final T20I of five-match series. He was dropped at 67 in 14th over which helped him get to his maiden T20I century. New Zealand chased down 194 runs to draw the series 2-2.
