The possible commentary panel for the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been revealed.

According to sources, it has been decided to form an 11-member team of commentators and presenters. A large commentary panel has been formed due to the matches being held at two venues simultaneously.

Renowned commentators, including Mark Butcher, Nick Knight, Danny Morrison, Waqar Younis, Bazid Khan, Tariq Saeed, Sikandar Bakht, Kass Naidoo, and Urooj Mumtaz will call matches of PSL 8.

Meanwhile, Erin Holland and Zainab Abbas will be the presenters for the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) flagship event.

In the initial commentary panel, former chairman PCB Ramiz Raja's name is not included.

Earlier on Thursday, in a video on his official YouTube channel, Raja revealed that the Najam Sethi-led management committee wants him to apologise for the recent statements he made criticising the management in order to be included on the commentary panel of PSL.

"They [PCB's management committee] want me to apologise to them first and give an application for commentary, then they will review it. Do you think I will do that? " he said.

Sources also said that the names of the PSL commentary panel will be announced by the PCB in the next couple of days.

The PSL 8 will commence on February 13 when defending champions Lahore Qalandars take on 2021 champions Multan Sultans in the opening clash at the Multan Cricket Stadium after the opening ceremony.

Rawalpindi will stage 11 fixtures, Karachi and Lahore will host nine matches each, whereas Multan will have five home games.
