PCB ensures high-quality production for exhibition match

As many as 16 HD cameras, including drone, will be installed to produce live cricket entertainment

QUETTA: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), under the leadership of Najam Sethi, is all set to create history by hosting a star-studded contest in Balochistan’s capital.

Preparations are in full swing at Quetta’s Bugti Stadium which is set to host Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight exhibition match between Quetta Galdiatots and Peshawar Zalmi on February 5.

As many as 16 HD cameras, including drone, will be installed to produce live cricket entertainment.

PCB, in partnership with Trans Group, will produce the match which will be broadcasted on PTV Sports.

On the other hand, a special pitch has been prepared for the exhibition match. Side nets have also been fixed for training sessions.

Temporary seats have also been installed in the stands to facilitate fans.

It must be noted here that tickets for the match were sold out within two days.

Players’ arrival

Quetta Gladiators’ Umar Akmal and Usman Qadir of Peshawar Zalmi have reached the city today for participating in the match.

Meanwhile, players including Sarfaraz Ahmed, Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, and Shahid Afridi, who are also part of this exhibition match, attended Shaheen Afridi’s Nikah ceremony in Karachi today.

These cricketers will come to Quetta alongside other players tomorrow.

The two participating teams are also scheduled to have a practice session tomorrow at the venue.

The match on February 5 will start at 11am.
