Quetta Gladiators are set to host Peshawar Zalmi in an exhibition match on February 5 at Quetta's Bugti Stadium.
Tickets for the much-awaited match will be up on sale from January 30. The ticket price is PKR20 each. Fans can buy tickets from Bolan Cricket Stadium, Bugti Stadium, Jan Mall, Mariabad (Gulzari Travels), and Airport Road (Almehmood Mart).
In build-up to the upcoming eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in collaboration with the Baluchistan government, will host this exhibition match.
The star-studded contest will start at 8am (PST). PCB is in talks with broadcasters for live coverage.
Sarfaraz Ahmed will lead team purple and Babar Azam will be the captain of team yellow. Babar will be joined by star cricketers including Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Haris, Danish Aziz and Saim Ayub in his team.
Sarfaraz's team purple will feature Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Hasnain, Naseem Shah, and Umar Akmal.
Soon after taking charge as chairman of the PCB management committee, Najam Sethi had announced to host a couple of PSL 8 matches in Quetta, subject to security clearance. Later on, Sethi, in a press conference, shared that Quetta couldn't get ready in time for hosting PSL matches.
It must be noted here that in another build-up to PSL 8, Gladiators will host Houston Hurricanes for three T20 matches in Karachi. All three matches will be played at National Stadium Karachi on January 29, 30, and 31.
PSL 8 will be played from February 13 to March 19 in Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi. Multan is set to host the PSL opening ceremony for the very first time in league's history.
