Shaheen Shah Afridi during ODI - PCB

KARACHI: Shaheen Shah Afridi has been given permission to carry drinks inside the ground after two Pakistan players became unavailable during second ODI against New Zealand.

Tayyab Tahir replaced injured Fakhar Zaman for fielding whereas Kamran Ghulam came in as Haris Sohail's concussion replacement.

With Imam-ul-Haq and Naseem Shah already being sick, Pakistan requested for Shaheen's availability in the dugout.

"Shaheen's availability in dugout has been approved by the match referee after two Pakistan players from the playing XI became unavailable," PCB shared.

Fakhar was suffering irritation in his right hamstring whereas Haris was feeling pain. Hence, the two cricketers missed fielding and remain under the observation of the team's medical panel.

The left-handed batter was on song with the bat as he scored his eighth ODI century. He scored 101 runs off 122 balls including 10 boundaries and a six. On the other hand, Haris made 22 runs off 25 balls.

Pakistan and New Zealand are currently fighting for a series victory. Pakistan set New Zealand to chase 280-9 in 50 overs.

Zaman lifted Pakistan from 21-2 during a third-wicket stand of 154 off 161 balls with Mohammad Rizwan, who made a polished 74-ball 77 with six boundaries.
