KARACHI: Naseem Shah credited whole team for pulling off a convincing victory over New Zealand in first ODI of three-match series here at National Bank Cricket Arena (NBCA) on Monday. 

Speaking to media after bagging his second consecutive fifer in ODIs, Naseem said performing in a winning cause is something special. 

"Your performance becomes satisfactory when your team wins," said Naseem. "I followed the given plan and Alhumdulillah it worked well for me," he added. 

Naseem bagged five wickets for 57 runs in his 10 overs. The 19-year-old bowler also became highest wicket-taker in first four ODIs of the career. His wickets tally reached 15. 

To a query about changed pitch behavior, Naseem said bowlers including Usama Mir, Mohammad Nawaz and Wasim Jr bowled really well. 

"Pitch was good and assisting us for sure. But, our bowlers bowled really well. We were getting reverse swing and we made the most of it," he shared. 

"It was a team work overall to win this game," he said. 

Pakistan beat New Zealand by six wickets to go 1-0 up in two-match ODI series. Both teams will play second ODI on January 11 at the same venue.
