PCB formally advertises head coach’s position, other jobs

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formally advertised the job openings for the national cricket team’s coaching staff, including the coveted position of head coach.

The board, in its ad for print, says it “seeks dynamic individuals” for the positions of head coach, batting coach, bowling coach, and even strength and conditioning coach.

Interested candidates have been told to apply for the position(s) by August 23 along with their passport-sized recent photographs.

The exercise appears to be a legal requirement as it seems almost impossible that the board would entertain the candidacies of general applicants.

Former Pakistan captain Misbah ul Haq unofficially appears to be the leading candidate for the head coach’s position.
