Pakistan's frontline pacer in white ball format, Haris Rauf didn't have a good start to his Test career.
Haris, who made his Test debut in first Test against England in Rawalpindi, suffered an injury after he rolled over the ball while fielding on the first day of the match.
He missed the remaining days of the contest which ended in favour of the touring party. England beat Pakistan by 74 runs to go 1-0 up in three-match Test series.
Haris underwent Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) on Friday. MRI report confirmed a grade-II strain in his right leg.
Due to the injury, Haris will miss cricket action for at least two weeks.
The right-arm pacer will undergo a rehabilitation process at Lahore's National High-Performance Centre (NHPC).
He has already left Islamabad for Lahore.
Mohammad Abbas, who represented Pakistan in 25 Tests, is expected to replace Haris in the squad for the remaining two Tests.
Multan will host second Test from December 9 to December 13 whereas Karachi will host last Test from December 17 to 21.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja met Haris to inquire about his injury.
Haris said he was doing fine but doctors adviced him to rest for at least two weeks.
