Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja for his services being in charge.
PM Shehbaz hosted Pakistan and England Test teams for dinner after the visitors won the first Test of three-match series in Rawalpindi today.
During his speech on this occasion, PM Shehbaz lauded the PCB chief as the two met for the first time after the change of government.
"Ramiz Raja has done a great job as PCB chairman," the PM applauded. "I was young in a government college and his [Ramiz Raja] father was then Additional Commissioner Lahore and he was a great fan of cricket. We used to get free cricket passes from him. That's how we know each other" he recalled.
It must be noted here that PCB chairman and PM met for the first time after the government was changed in Pakistan.
Raja was made the chairman of PCB by former PM Imran Khan after Ehsan Mani's tenure ended.
