KARACHI: Somerset County Cricket Club roped in Pakistan's opening batter Imam-ul-Haq for the County Championship on Wednesday.

According to the details, Imam has been signed as a replacement for Matt Renshaw, who has returned to Australia after his domestic cricket commitment.

The 27-year-old will play the last four matches of the event.

Meanwhile, Imam's teammate in the Pakistan Test team, Azhar Ali, wished good luck to the left-handed batter and Somerset.

It is pertinent to mention here that Imam scored 973 runs in 16 Test matches for the Green Shirts.
