In a close contest, Pakistan's Mohammad Zikriya fell short in the match-deciding game.
Egypt's Karim beat Hamza Khan in the first game by 11-8, 11-8, 11-5 to take 1-0 lead in the contest.
Noor Zaman of Pakistan set high hopes by winning the second game against Egypt's Mohammad Naseer. Zaman defeated Naseer by 11-3, 7-11, 11-3, 11-6 to equalise the score 2-2.
In last face-off, Zikriya of Pakistan lost to Egypt's Ashab Irfan by 11-6, 7-11, 13-11, 11-8.
Pakistan will now play in third position match in the mega event.
