ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have allowed seven of their centrally contracted players to play in Kashmir Premier League (KPL) season 2.

According to KPL management, tournament's director Rashid Latif held successful talks with PCB to get their contracted players on board for KPL 2.

In result, Fawad Alam (Red Ball Category B), Azhar Ali (Red Ball Category A), Abid Ali (Red Ball Category D), Nauman Ali (Red Ball Category C), Haseebullah, Mohammad Hurraira, Ali Usman (all three Emerging Category) will be drafted for KPL 2.

The players' draft for KPL's second edition will take place here on July 21. No foreign players registration has been confirmed by the league management.

However, KPL president Arif Malik earlier told Geo News that PCB gave them permission to draft foreign players who took retirement from international cricket five years ago.

Hence, franchises have reservations over such restrictions by PCB on drafting foreigners. Malik vowed to request PCB in this regard.
