DUBAI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is likely to host New Zealand and South Africa for a tri-series in February 2025 as per the Future Tours Program from May 2023 to April 2027.

ESPNcricinfo claimed Saturday that they accessed the near-final draft of the next ICC FTP. According to their report, Pakistan will host two tri-nation series between 2023 and 2027.

Firstly, New Zealand and South Africa will come to Pakistan to play a tri-series in February 2025. Whereas, in October-November 2026, Pakistan will host a tri-series involving Sri Lanka and a third country that is yet to be confirmed.

Apart from Pakistan, only Zimbabwe will host a tri-nation series involving New Zealand and South Africa in June-July 2025.

Remember, PCB chairman Ramiz Raja had presented the idea of a three-nation and four-nation series at the last International Cricket Council (ICC) meeting.

Bangladesh and New Zealand are the only two other teams who will play more than 30 Tests: Bangladesh (34) and New Zealand (32).

Pakistan will host three and play as many Tests away during the new championship cycle. The PCB will host England, West Indies and Bangladesh whereas the Green Caps will tour Australia, South Africa and Sri Lanka in this time period.
